VOLUMES ONE, TWO, & THREE Paul began his outstanding career in the Christian music field playing the organ at the famed Angelus Temple in Los Angeles, California. In 1950 he joined the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and traveled throughout the world as its organist for the next seven years. RCA Victor approached him to arrange and conduct the first of his string albums and a series of sacred strings albums was born. These recordings have been digitally remastered from Mr. Mickelson’s personal archive of high fidelity recordings, guaranteeing the very best possible quality. We trust you will find this a rich and spiritually rewarding listening experience. |

During the early 1950's Homer Rodeheaver produced two different television series. One of these featured Mr. Rodeheaver leading his viewers in a hymn sing-along and the other, Miracles In Song, featured dramas centered around famous gospel songs. Fortunately, some of these TV programs survived, providing a rare glimpse into the life and ministry of this outstanding Christian musician. A RARE COLLECTORS ITEM! |

RAINBOW SHINING SOMEWHERE: A Homer Rodeheaver sing-along with Audrey Mieir and the Phil Kerr Harmony Chorus. You'll enjoy such hymn favorites as Come Thou Almighty King, Brighten The Corner Where You Are, Beyond The Sunset, and There's A Rainbow Shining Somewhere. Homer also accompanies the singing with his trombone in a style reminiscent of the Billy Sunday crusades. |
THEN JESUS CAME: Here is a second Homer Rodeheaver sing-along with Audrey Mieir and the Phil Kerr Harmony Chorus. It features In The Garden, Then Jesus Came, Everybody Ought To Know Who Jesus Is, and There's A Rainbow Shining Somewhere. Mr. Rodeheaver also plays his trombone and shares the meaning of each verse as he sings the title song. |
SOMEBODY CARES: Homer Rodeheaver narrates this true story of how one of his gospel songs, Somebody Cares, changed the life of a wayward girl. This dramatization portrays the prison ministry and musical talents of a woman who touched many lives, as she beautifully sings this song for a few inmates. |
WHEN MALINDY SINGS: This telecast honors the contribution Black American composers have made to gospel music, both at home and abroad. It features several Negro spirituals sung by Black musicians. Homer Rodeheaver pays tribute to Black poet, Paul Lawrence Dunbar, by reciting his poem, When Malindy Sings. Mr. Rodeheaver, in black-face, dramatizes this famous poem in the setting of an old Southern plantation in the early 1800's. Songs include I Got Shoes, You Must Come In At The Door, and Swing Low Sweet Chariot. |
HEARTACHES: In this program Homer Rodeheaver tells a very touching true story of how the song, Heartaches, changed the life of a lady who was planning to commit suicide. The writer of this song, Rev. Alfred H. Ackley, appears on the program and is interviewed by Mr. Rodeheaver. Homer sings the song in a dramatization of this lady's experience. He also speaks on loneliness and pays a tribute to the elderly. An uplifting and moving experience. |
